Suicide and self-harm
Self-harm and suicide are still taboo subjects in society and many people are uncertain how to react when they encounter them. In a recent survey almost 5% of 10 to 24 year olds reported that they had self-harmed within the previous month; and suicide remains one of the biggest causes of death for people in that same age group.
In this training you will learn skills and strategies to use with clients, friends and family who may find themselves having suicidal thoughts or demonstrating signs of self-harm.
